Dreamed of living the Sex and the City life?

Long, lazy mornings with takeaway coffee and The New York Times crossword? Chatting in bed on an American TV-series phone? Cosmo night with the girls?

The famous column came to life in the writer’s homely little hideaway on the Upper East Side, and was the character’s gathering place and faithful companion through various relationships, phases and many ups and downs.

Because who can forget the drama when Berger broke up with her on a Post-it? Aidan’s attempt to move in? Or Aleksandr Petrovsky’s description of the place – ‘warm and lovely’ – like Carrie herself?

Now that the sequel to the hit series is about to be released, the series and HBO Max have entered into a partnership with Airbnb to rent out two nights in the legendary apartment (or as close to it as you can get).

The team behind ‘And just like that…’ has built a replica of Carrie’s one-bedroom brownstone, where whoever gets there first can book a one-night stay on either 12 or 13 November. As they write in the description on the website: ‘This is not a competition’ – and you have to cover the trip to New York yourself.

For an unknown sum you can get a full New York experience, with brunch at the iconic café in Chelsea, access to Carrie’s wardrobe – with a professional photo shoot – and of course a free flow of Cosmopolitans thrown in.

The only thing you can’t recreate is the writer’s habit of smoking while writing – but that’s probably just as well.

A night in Carrie Bradshaw’s New York apartment opens for bookings on 8 November at 18:00 Norwegian time.

Anyone up for a spontaneous girls’ trip?
