Oversized knits, a coat that lives up to its name and clothes that actually feel good to wear. Martine Halvorsen knows what she wants from her autumn wardrobe.

Influencer Martine Halvorsen has made a name for herself as an outspoken voice on social media, particularly when it comes to body image pressure and the expectations young women face. She has written the books Sykt normal and Sykt voksen, and is behind the clothing brand Blomelle. She’s now also a mum of twins, but that’s not a role she lets define her whole style.

She goes for pieces she feels good in, and is looking forward to an autumn with more colour and personality. This Tuesday, Melk & Honning took a peek into Martine Halvorsen’s wardrobe – come on in!

Sporty and comfortable

Martine knows exactly how she’d describe her own style.

– It’s comfortable, sporty and ideally chic.

It may sound simple, but the balance can be hard to strike. For Martine, comfort always comes first. That’s also the advice she’d give others.

– Feel comfortable! Any outfit fits better when you feel like yourself, can wear it with confidence and don’t have anything chafing, pinching or annoying you.

Ready for more personality

Halvorsen is hoping for an autumn where more people dress according to their own taste, and a few fewer follow the same recipe.

– I think we’ll see more personality and less of everyone having to look exactly the same. More colours, textures, statement pieces and styling that feels a bit more playful and personal. A little less “clean girl”, a little more “I put this on because it was fun”, and I am SO ready for THAT.

The coat gets to come out again

When it gets colder outside, there’s one piece in particular she’s looking forward to bringing out: the coat she treated herself to last year.

– Ahhhh … I have a coat from Lis Bonne Atelier that I treated myself to last year. It’s called The Statement Coat, and it is! I’m really looking forward to bringing it out again this autumn.

The rest of her autumn uniform is softer, but just as important.

– That said: give me all the oversized jumpers! Wool, cotton, cashmere, and preferably V-neck. It’s practically my uniform as soon as the temperature drops.

We salute Martine for the amazing woman she is, and keep being inspired by everything she posts! Now the autumn wardrobe can simply blossom.
