Tone Damli and A&C Oslo are launching their sixth jewellery collection together. Before Starlight FW26 hits the shops, it will be shown on the runway in New York.

Tone Damli and A&C Oslo have collaborated on jewellery across five collections. Now they’re looking beyond Norway’s borders.

The sixth collection has been named Starlight FW26 and will be shown at a runway show on Madison Avenue in New York on 13 September. The show marks a new step for the collaboration and gives the duo the opportunity to introduce their jewellery universe to an international audience.

“The collaboration with Tone has been a success story from the very first collection. The show in New York marks a natural next step – an opportunity to introduce our universe to new markets, while producing visual content with New York as the backdrop,” says Lars Tore Hogsnes, CEO of A&C Oslo, in a press release.

Inspired by the sky

As the name suggests, Starlight turns its gaze to the sky. Stars, moons, clouds, raindrops and snow crystals recur as motifs, translated into jewellery with shine, colour and moving details.

The collection ranges from discreet, timeless pieces to bolder designs made to elevate a party outfit. The look is described as feminine and playful, with Damli’s own style as a clear common thread.

For the artist, however, the inspiration is about more than celestial bodies and glittering surfaces. The collection is also meant to reflect the experiences she has carried with her over the past few years.

“Starlight is about life lived. Not one specific memory, but a feeling, a summing-up of the last few years. The jewellery reflects me and my style: it’s what I put on when I want to feel a little stronger and a little tougher,” says Damli.

Not an everyday occurrence

She describes the fact that the collection will now be presented in New York as a milestone.

“For someone from Sogn to get to show their jewellery collection in New York is not an everyday occurrence. That’s exactly what’s so great about the collaboration with A&C – they dare, they want to, and they just go for it.”

Tone Damli by A&C has established itself as an accessible jewellery collaboration in the Norwegian market. The collections are produced in limited numbers and, according to the company, have sold out shortly after previous launches.

With the show on Madison Avenue, A&C Oslo hopes to open the door to new markets. At the same time, the new collection gets a fitting first backdrop: the city that never sleeps, under the sky that inspired it.

Starlight FW26 launches at selected retailers and online on 24 September.
