This is where we like to grab a coffee and a bite in Copenhagen.

There’s no doubt that Copenhagen has a great selection of cosy cafés and restaurants with delicious food. Whether you’re going to Copenhagen for fashion week or planning a little getaway to the Danish capital in the near future, you might be looking for some tips on where to eat?

Here are some of our favourites.

Esmée

Kongens Nytorv 8

You’ve almost certainly seen pictures of delicious dishes, not least the famous soft serve, from Esmée in your feed. The French restaurant is just a stone’s throw from Nyhavn, and here you can enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks in pleasant surroundings.

Café Coco

Vesterbrogade 41

There’s no doubt that Copenhagen has many lovely hotels – and hotels stopped being reserved for guests only a long time ago. At the boutique hotel Coco you’ll find a charming café on the ground floor overlooking the street (perfect for watching fashionable Danes stroll by).

On the menu you’ll find everything from sourdough bread with tasty toppings to croissants, pain au chocolat and cheese platters.

Delphine

Vesterbrogade 40

Right across the street from Hotel Coco you’ll find the it-restaurant Delphine. This must be one of the hottest places to eat in the Danish capital right now, and it’s definitely worth a visit whether you’re having dinner or just a few drinks at the stylish bar in the middle of the restaurant. The menu offers a wide selection of Mediterranean-inspired dishes that will make your mouth water from the start.

A little bonus is the lovely interior and the very Instagram-friendly, colourful plates.

Maison

Dronningens Tværgade 43

At Maison you get a little piece of Paris in Copenhagen. The French bistro in the middle of the city serves classic French dishes with lovely wine to go with them.

But it’s not just the menu that’s inspired by France – the interior also puts you in the right mood, with woven chairs and round marble tables.

Sonny

Rådhusstræde 5

If you’re craving a freshly baked croissant and coffee, you should drop in at Sonny. You can stop by for a takeaway coffee on the go, or sit down and enjoy the first cup of the day and a little morgenmad (breakfast).

Bazaar

Dronningens Tværgade 21

If you love Middle Eastern food, this place is probably for you. Bazaar’s menu has lots of delicious small plates and larger dishes – such as hummus, falafel, halloumi fries and fried chicken. There’s no shortage of both classic and more exotic cocktails either.
