The ski king and his partner grace the cover of Vogue Scandinavia. We’ve taken a look at the clothes – from white Institution pieces to an 11,000-euro Hermès jacket.
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Pernille Døsvik are the cover couple of the October–November issue of Vogue Scandinavia, which launched online on Monday 12 October. It’s issue number 32, and the pictures were taken by Ole Martin Halvorsen by a waterfall in the forest outside Trondheim. The text is written by Imogen West-Knights.
The timing is no coincidence. Klæbo won all six events he entered at the Milano Cortina Olympics earlier this year, and with 11 Olympic golds he now has more than any other Winter Olympian in history. Døsvik, for her part, has completed Norseman – and earned the coveted black T-shirt. According to Vogue, the couple are planning a wedding in 2027.
On the cover, the couple are dressed in Milan-based Institution, which showed at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August. In the interview, they talk about the upcoming wedding, Klæbo’s love of winning and how the dynamics of their relationship are changing now that Døsvik is chasing her own sporting goals.

From World Cup debut to Olympic record
The magazine reminds us how early it all started: Klæbo made his World Cup debut at 19 and won his first World Cup race the following year. Today he is 29, and Vogue Scandinavia describes him as what many consider the greatest cross-country skier of all time.
For a fashion magazine, he’s an unusual cover hero. Cross-country skiing is no fashion sport, and that’s exactly what makes the choice interesting: Vogue Scandinavia has picked the Norwegian sporting couple everyone knows and dressed them in Hermès and Dolce & Gabbana instead of ski suits.
Hermès in the forest
In another part of the series, both are dressed in Hermès. Døsvik wears a two-tone sleeveless high-neck jumper (1,500 euros) and a dress with leather details (6,100 euros). Klæbo’s outfit – high-neck jumper, overshirt, wool shearling jacket, wool trousers and black boots – costs a total of 17,730 euros, with the shearling jacket alone accounting for 11,000 of them.

The styling says a lot about how Vogue wants to portray the couple: calm, down-to-earth and expensive. It fits well with an autumn where brown leather, soft knits and layered outfits dominate the shops.
Trondheim as a backdrop
Klæbo still calls Trondheim home, and according to Vogue Scandinavia he trains in the forest where the shoot took place three or four times a week when he’s at home. Bonnier also writes that Døsvik is “an athlete in her own right” – a fitting clarification when your fiancée has completed one of the world’s toughest triathlons.
The same issue also features a fashion story with furniture designer Jonas Bohlin and his photographer son Julius, an interview with Benjamin Ingrosso and an interiors section with Sweden’s Beata Heuman on the cover. In the issue, you’ll also see more pictures from the forest trip with Vogue and more outfits from Dolce & Gabbana, among others.
The issue is sold in Vogue Scandinavia’s own online store, where it’s listed at 199 Swedish kronor. The interview is also available on the website.
